• Are Hyundai Accent good cars?

  The Hyundai Accent is a highly-popular and very capable small car that is no longer in production down under. Many would consider it the ideal car for inner-city living, with its small size and easy operation among the many highlights that so many have fallen in love with. As Hyundai's former entry-level model, it's not hard to imagine why this car has been adored by many, after all, the value on offer doesn't get much better. • Why was the Hyundai Accent discontinued?

  Although the popularity of the Hyundai Accent saw it rank as one of the better-selling cars from Hyundai's stable, and particularly in the small car format, unfortunately the model was proving non-viable for the brand to continue manufacturing. Ultimately, the attraction of the Hyundai Accent wasn't an issue, but profit margins on the sharply-priced Accent weren't large enough to justify its continuation.

• What is replacing the Hyundai Accent?

  The Hyundai Accent doesn't have a direct like-for-like replacement in the Australian new car market. However, between the Hyundai Venue, and the Hyundai i30, which have both been slotted into the Korean manufacturer's line-up, these two vehicles are targeted towards the budget-conscious new car buyer, at the same time offering a few more niceties and a longer specs list to justify their dearer starting prices.
