• Is the Honda Civic a good car?

  Unlike the seventh generation Civic's at the start of the century, most models released over the last decade or so run well and rate highly for reliability, perhaps with the exception of those from 2016, where there were various gripes with the internal accessories, electricals and HVAC inside the cabin. These minor issues still pop up from time to time, albeit less frequently, so regular service will go a long way. You may wish to take more notice of the sometimes limited rear-visibility from the driver's seat due to a high boot line, which to some might be considered a design issue. Nonetheless, in the grand scheme of things, the Honda Civic is an easy car to own.

• What year is best Honda Civic?

  The latest-generation Honda Civic trumps all its predecessors thanks to its modernised fit-out and more bang for your buck. It is a slightly larger car these days than years gone past, so take that into consideration if you want something a little more compact, however, the space optimisation is a real highlight in variants from 2020 and 2021 and shouldn't be overlooked. With the newest variants featuring 'Honda Sensing' active features, including AEB in the more affordable VTi-L and RS variants, the value proposition is to be commended. If you're happy to forgo some of the bells and whistles for a premium feel, the special edition 2019 Civic +Luxe hatchback introduced adds lots of nice touches, but the real prize here is opting for an all-new Civic.
