Honda City FAQs

Honda City What do you get when you take the proven winning formula of a small hatch in the Honda Jazz, and extend its wheelbase to create a roomy sedan? The Honda City, of course. But more space and legroom means a higher price, right? Well, not necessarily. In fact, the VTi and VTi-L are both priced at comparable price-points, and the premium variant can even be had for cheaper than its equivalent baby brother. Upgrading to the VTi-L brings with it a host of perks like sat-nav, alloy wheels, front fog lights and leather trim, but the real value rests in the base variant and its tempting price. Sharing an identical 1.5L engine and your choice between CVT auto or five-speed manual transmission, the City has a surprising level of dash but won’t chew through your petrol. The longer wheelbase helps add some finesse and comfort in tackling suburban back roads, all the while maintaining deft silence. Like the Jazz, boot space punches above its weight, and then some, so the City holds its head high as far as practicality. One reason you may want to opt for this model over the Honda Jazz is the greater sensation of balance while behind the wheel, which makes for a more pleasant drive all-round.

Honda City Review

The updated 2018 Honda City gets a fresh look and mild equipment updates, but class-leading practicality can only get you so far.

As the ubiquitous Civic grew larger and larger, a niche for a smaller car appeared, and that niche was subsequently filled by the City in sedan guise, and the Jazz hatch that sits alongside it. The buying public, however, i...

Despite it only being mid-2017, the facelifted Honda City is being pitched as a 2018 model. The company's smallest sedan is basically a twin-under-the-skin to the popular Jazz hatchback, though offers an arguably more attractive body than its mini van-like sibling. For the 2018 model year, the City receives a mild refresh which sees it get a new look front a...

One quick click and I was put in touch with the dealership sales manager who provided excellent service. No need to talk to sales people who are not the decision makers in the dealership.
