Ford Mondeo FAQs

Ford Mondeo There’s a lot of variety in the Ford Mondeo range, with as many as 12 configurations available. This includes three underlying variants - the Ambiente, Trend and Titanium - plus the choice of hatch or wagon body types, and three different engines covering the petrol and diesel spectrums. It’s hard to go wrong with any of these options, such is the pure beauty of the design, level of comfort, range of entertainment features and fastidious steering. Ford has developed a remarkably efficient diesel engine utilising Turbocharged Diesel Common rail Injection (TDCi), which is paired with stop-start technology. You’ll barely believe how thrifty this motor is. Nevertheless, both of the 2L turbo petrol engines flow and transition like clockwork. The cargo hold for each variant boasts impressive capacity, yet doesn’t compromise on interior cabin room or any degree of visibility. Ford’s European-built Mondeo is a fantastic car to drive, particularly over long distances, where it’s quiet glide and graceful fluidity reward occupants with ultimate comfort. This model might not have the same amount of publicity as the Mazda 6, but it’s just as good.

Ford Mondeo Review

If SUVs don't float your boat, wagons have evolved to a level that demands a second look. The Ford Mondeo Titanium could be a viable SUV alternative.

It might be happening slowly, but the wheel of fortune is turning in favour of Ford’s Mondeo. A look at industry statistician VFACTS figures shows Ford Australia’s only family-size car is ramping-up sales at a time when competitors such as Mazda6, Subaru Liberty and Hyundai Sonata appear to be trending downwards. While the medium passenger segment doesn’t ge...

Yes, this is a Ford Mondeo review in Anno Domini 2018. This assumes, of course, that Ford even still sells the Mondeo, and despite the fact that it's the third best-selling car in the segment, Ford oddly doesn't seem keen to talk about it. Why? Perhaps Ford doesn't want anybody to get overly attached to a sedan-y hatch that has a cloudy future in an ever-shr...

Writing a car review can present its own unique challenges, outside of the technical and real-world assessment of the car. This write-up on the 2016 Ford Mondeo Trend, for instance, has taken far longer to construct than normal, predominantly due to the difficulty in finding language to accurately depict the car. Usually, when we describe something, it is al...

The large sedan segment, once the golden goose for Australian carmakers, has hit upon tough times recently. Large-car customers are now swinging towards high-riding SUVs in swathes, playing a part in the death of Australian-built Commodores and Falcons. With no locally made product to capture people’s hearts and minds, is the time right for a new hero – from...

One quick click and I was put in touch…

One quick click and I was put in touch with the dealership sales manager who provided excellent service. No need to talk to sales people who are not the decision makers in the dealership.
