While you might have heard a number of good things about the Ferrari F12, the sad thing is that this model is no longer in production, and it was replaced by the 812 Superfast. You may still be able to find a unit for sale here and there on the second-hand market, but these units are as rare as hens' teeth. Even then, assuming you come across a used F12 for sale, prices remain elevated thanks to the model's rarity and the supercar status tied to the Ferrari brand.
No one should underestimate nor understate the credentials of the Ferrari F12, because this is a genuine bond fide supercar in every sense of the word. In fact, if you go back in history a little bit, you will find that the naturally-aspirated 6.3-litre V12 engine used in the F12berlinetta won the 2013 International Engine of the Year Award, while the F12 was also on the receiving end of the prestigious title of "The Supercar of the Year 2012" by car magazine Top Gear. Even though this model is no longer in production, the F12 still fits the bill for supercar status.
It's something that many motoring insiders have tried to crack for some time now, but unfortunately, Ferrari doesn't release any official data on the production of its various model lines. The only exception to this is for limited models that have been rolled out over the years. With that said, in the case of the F12, there has been some data come through over the years regarding European sales, even if these are only a portion of overall sales. On that basis, however, it is believed that around 5000 F12 units were produced, but again, this is only a guesstimate.
