While the Ferrari 812 Superfast is still technically in production, it is coming to the end of its life cycle and is expected to be replaced in 2023. To date, thousands of the 812 Superfast have been made. In the case of the limited-edition variants of the 812, Ferrari produced 999 of the limited-run 812 Competizione coupe, and 599 of the Competizione convertible. As you might expect, both sold out in a flash, so Ferrari has looked at producing 812 examples of the 812 Competizione A track to end the series. The Prancing Horse stable has also featured a limited production run for another 812 variant, the GTO, with numbers more guarded, but likely in similar quantity as the Competizione.
With just one variant on offer down under, the Ferrari 812 Superfast, the suggested retail price is $610,000 before on-road costs like stamp duty, dealer delivery fee, registration and other government charges and taxes. However, availability of this model is likely to prove a bigger issue, because you'll find it will be extremely difficult to secure one of these units, particularly as the model nears the end of its life cycle.
It might boast a thunderous 6.5-litre V12 engine, but the replacement for the F12 Berlinetta is most definitely street legal down under. In stock format the 812 Superfast is backed by 588kW of power and 718Nm of torque, making it Ferrari’s most-powerful regular production model ever. It has since released limited-edition variants of the 812 that have been equipped with even more power, but in the base format, the Superfast can race from 0 to 100km/h in a claimed 2.9 seconds, and 0 to 200km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

Alfa Romeo has been hard at work refining the Giulia. The engineers in Turin have updated the infotainment, interior trim, and driver assists to make its beautiful sports sedan a better rival for its German foes – and they’ve done a pretty good job of it. But the more mundane, mainstream Giulia isn’t what the red-blooded Alfisti want to know about. They want...
