The DS4 is regarded as a fairly dependable model, even standing up to the test today, years after it has been retired from the Australian new car market. The engine in this car is particularly sturdy, and the build quality as one of the DS models is something to behold. One thing is for sure, the DS4 is a clear step up from the reliability of the DS3.
Funnily enough, the distinct styling of the DS4 means that the rear windows don't open - at least in a manner that you might be used to seeing or experiencing. Due to the slanted roofline of the DS4, which plays a part in its coupe styling, the design team at Citroen opted for something rather unique. Instead of traditional windows they inserted 'pop out' windows in the rear, which is something you may have last seen all the way back in the 1980s and 90s.
First things first, DS is actually part of the French brand Citroen. The auto-maker first used the DS name all the way back in the 1950s, but more recently it began using the DS name on some of its more premium models. Following the initial test run, the company then began to produce a new marque dubbed the DS, launching first in China, and then Europe. So today the two are separate brands, with the DS badge being an upmarket car.
