Citroën Berlingo
French manufacturer Citroen has been producing small commercial vans under the Berlingo banner for more than 20 years, during which time the vehicle has become somewhat of a hit. This is largely due to its sturdy build, first-rate payload capacity, liberal visibility, plus firm ride and peppy handling, which makes it great for dealing with light-duty jobs and peak-hour congestion. The 2019 Berlingo is a reinvigorated premise for buyers compared to existing run-out models, which measure shorter in terms of vehicle length and load space. The new M and XL models offer different wheelbase lengths and may be obtained with raised ground clearance under a separate variant. You will also have the option of mating a 1.2L petrol or 1.5L diesel engine with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, or, opt for the 1.6L manual diesel - a marked improvement on the existing configuration, which still performs admirably in its own right. Fitted out with a host of standard equipment, the Citroen Berlingo establishes itself as a workhorse, without compromising on cabin comfort. As the International Van of the Year for 2019, it’s hard to view this as anything other than a leader in its segment.

But the more mundane, mainstream Giulia isn’t what the red-blooded Alfisti want to know about. They want...
