• Is Chery a reliable car?

  Chery is actually a brand in itself, although you would be excused for not knowing much about them as they are not currently selling any cars across Australia. Down under, the Ateco Automotive Group looks after the import of the Chery brand. The Chinese brand is a state-owned manufacturer, and a popular one in some parts of the world.

• Which country makes Chery cars?

  A little known brand in Australia, Chery Automobile, trading as Chery, and in its home market often trading under the pinyin transcription of its Chinese name, Qirui, is a Chinese state-owned car manufacturer headquartered in Wuhu, Anhui, China. It was founded in 1997 and is still China's leading passenger car exporter brand over what has been a long stretch only a handful of years after its founding. It exports cars to more than 80 countries and/or regions, although it has never gained a real foothold in the Australian new car market.
