There is only one variant sold locally, which is the RS6 Avant 4.0 TFSI Quattro. It is a mild-hybrid electric vehicle with twin-turbo 4.0-litre premium unleaded engine.
Although the RS6 can go toe to toe with a number of bigger names, including some supercars during a sprint from 0-100km/h, the RS6 doesn't quite get regarded as a supercar. That's because this car is pitched and designed more so as a family car with high-performance dynamics, rather than an out-and-out racer like some of its rivals. In that sense, some would say a supercar is more likely to have superior handling and braking capabilities, with more of an edge-of-your-seat type of feel to the ride. That is not taking away anything from the RS6, however, it is arguably the next best thing after the R8 supercar.
Combining exceptional levels of practicality with first-class amenity and comfort, there are only a handful of cars on the market that serve the dual-purpose of functioning as a family wagon and also being an astounding performance unit. The RS6 has undoubted talent in just about every field, and above all else, this unit is a ball of fun. A marked improvement on its S series inspiration in the S6, which is already a phenomenal car, the RS6 might be a pricey car, but it's the next best thing to owning an Audi R8.
