Find out the Audi A3 2017 price today!
Hatchbacks might not be as popular as they once used to be, but the Audi A3 is an excellent unit that has all the potential to tempt new car buyers back into the segment. Not only bigger than it looks, the A3 oozes sophistication and class. If a hot hatch isn't quite what you're after though, there is still good news, because the A3 is also available as a sedan and convertible. After multiple generations of the A3, Audi has found a tried and true formula that has caught on with its legion of enthusiasts. It is a successful formula because this is one exemplary car.
While the reliability of the Audi A3 is at the upper end of the spectrum, there is some variation across the model range, largely depending on the engine you opt for. Diesel variants have surprisingly fared a little better than the petrol variants, although it's still worth noting that the Audi brand, and the longevity of the A3, which has been in the market for some time now, are certainly aligned with the premium status of this car. Furthermore, a longstanding history and common architecture across Volkswagen and Skoda cars means you'll have no issues sourcing parts.
While it might not stand up to a Porsche or Ferrari in the luxury stakes, the Audi A3 is still very much a premium car. There may be some overlap as far as the parts used in the Audi A3 and other more affordable vehicles on the market including the VW Golf, however, there is a discernible difference in quality when you take into account the finishes and materials used, performance traits and tweaks, and the depth of overall amenity thanks to all the added sophisticated features. There is no doubting the quality and refinement here.
Audi's A3 has long been the segment leader in its class. Now, with an expanded range and a face-lifted update that is more than skin deep, can the A3 retain its place at the top of the pecking order?
View ReviewPricey options By any measure, Audi is a premium nameplate, one of the stars of the Volkswagen Group, the world’s number one automotive brand. So Audi can charge premium prices. Nevertheless with a recommended retail price of $39,990 (plus on-road costs), the A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI COD is at first glance good value but, like other prestige brands, Audi does i...
View ReviewThere is something about being able to lower the roof of a car and have the wind in your hair and sun on your face that speaks to the pure enjoyment of life. Sure, you probably won't be enjoying life that much when you are trying to remove the knots from your hair but that's a mood spoiler you can leave for later. Audi's immensely popular A3 range, one that...
View ReviewSomewhere in Ingolstadt is an Audi product planner who probably has an ‘employee of the month’ plaque sitting on his desk in one of the hundreds of cubicles that no doubt make up the product planning department of Audi. This product planner, back in 1996, invented a new segment for cars: the 'premium A', a segment that Audi has dominated ever since with its...
View ReviewAudi has added a new three-cylinder entry point to its A3 family, and don’t let its base model positioning fool you – it’s more premium than you’d expect. WHAT IS IT?The price of entry to Audi’s A3 range has fallen, with the German automaker’s Australian arm adding a new $35,900 1.0-litre three-cylinder model to the bottom of the range – a reduction of $600...
