One look at the E-Pace name and it is easy to be mistaken in thinking that Jaguar's first compact SUV is an electric vehicle. However, as is the case when looks can be deceiving, here it is the name that may catch you off guard since the Jaguar E-Pace is not an electric vehicle. While available overseas as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), in the Australian new car market the E-Pace is sold with either a petrol or turbo-diesel engine.
If there is one resounding feature of the E-Pace, then it is the abundance of choice and diversity, all at a reasonable price-point. Here you have a luxury SUV that doesn't carry the burden of an expensive price-tag like many of its peers. It is a delightful SUV that embodies all the best of British automotive engineering, and a unit that is sure to instil a real feel-good factor into your day. As an alternative to compact SUVs from Audi or Volkswagen, the Jaguar E-Pace is a worthy option to consider.
Although both models can comfortably accommodate five people, not only is the F-Pace slightly larger in general, but it also has more space in the cargo hold. Perhaps the biggest distinction between the pair is their status and position in the Jaguar line-up, with the E-Pace considered a compact luxury SUV, while the F-Pace is instead a luxury performance SUV. The latter offers motorists a much more dynamic driving experience, and has a higher level of comfort, although the E-Pace is still a superb unit in its own right, at a more affordable price-point too.
